Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Yummy non veg buffet which had 2 briyanis (chicken and mutton), 3 curries (butter chicken, spicy chicken curry, fish curry) and 3 appetizers (tandoori chicken, hariyali chicken, chicken fry). Both the briyanis were tasty. Spicy chicken curry was the best among the curries. Tandoori chicken with mint chutney was good, chicken fry was a bit too hard, and hariyali chicken had more added color. Guessing the menu would vary every week. Best part is that they had a live counter for Aapam. It was really good with the chicken curry / coconut milk. When compared with non veg, the veg items in the buffet didn't really taste that good. For take out, once tried Mutton dum briyani and was pretty good. Nice flavor and spices."
"Full marks to service, very cheerful and motivated staff. Mahi was serving my table and he was excellent!! I had haleem, roti and gulab jamun and masala tea- Exceptional taste, highly recommended!!"
"Newly opened branch of Pista House Milipitas. Similar to the main branch, haleem is available here all year long. We have been here to taste Gongura Chicken Biryani. Once we were in the restaurant we saw most plates on every table was thali platter. So, we were tempted to give it a try but were uncertain of the taste as there were as many left overs on every table. To our surprise, it was appetizing. Every dish in thali was flavorful. It was served with two biryani scoops, couple of naan, fish curry, chicken curry, mutton curry, dal, chicken 65 & kabab, pinepapple halwa, plain rice and curd. Anything on the platter can be refilled on request. Absolutely worth every penny($14.99 during weekends and $12.99 during weekdays). If you have a great appetite you can order platter without any hesitation. We observed that there is lot of food wastage while ordering platter, hope it will be addressed by the management. Ambience also is not upto Milipitas branch and I think they are still working on improving it. Make use of cash as mode of payment for 10% additional discount. Gongura Chicken biryani is mild yet yummy. Must try. Hope they keep up the taste and quality. Update: On my recent visit we had non veg platter and potlam biryani. Potlam Biryani is a must try. They are keeping their standards intact as of now :) Keeping it up..!!"
"We love food here and we come here very often. Ghongura Mutton Biryani, Chicken 65 are our all time favorites. They are a must must try!! We tried Laccha Parantha and Chicken Zalzala recently and it turned out great. Service has improved a lot lately. Keerthi was helping us during our recent and she is very professional and assisted us well."
"Edited. tried 2nd time. Place was empty. So service was better. Food was good. Naans were soft. Biryani spices were a bit undercooked. Newly opened Restaurant. Very under staffed. People on the next table order got lost. We waited 30-40 mins and they didn't take our order so we left"
"Amazing Indian food you get here. Especially on weekends, the thali served here is amazing."
"Really good food. The staff was very friendly. I went on Thursday night and I was the only customer. It was nice. My only wish is the bathroom is nicer. I’ll definitely be back. Halal sign on window! Yay for another halal restaurant in the area."
"Delicious food, Quality with Sufficient Quantity of any item that we choose. Happy to recommend friends and families. Promising taste... Once you taste here definitely you will go come back here... I will definitely come back to this restaurant!!!"
